Diesel Mechanic Technician
Peterbilt of Sedalia is looking for experienced Class 8 Heavy Duty and Medium Duty truck technicians (Diesel Mechanics) who want a challenging career in the transportation industry. Mechanics must be capable of working on electronic engines (MX, Cummins and Cat engines) internal and external. The tech must also possess the skills to perform preventive maintenance, DOT Annual inspections, general truck and trailer repairs, and everything in between.
Service Truck opportunities
Factory training available on specific systems and electronic engines. The technician must have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, be able to multi-task, be able to work well with coworkers, have good computer skills, and a strong desire to take care of customers. Kansas City Peterbilt - Sedalia is locally owned and operated. Kansas City Peterbilt operates dealerships in Kansas City, KS, St Joseph, MO, Sedalia, MO, and Bethany, MO, and Utility Trailer Sales of Kansas City and off-site maintenance locations.

Job Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform electronic engine diagnostics and repairs (MX, Cummins, CAT)
- Perform diesel engine repair (MX, Cummins, CAT)
- Perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM)
- Perform ABS diagnostics and repairs
- Perform HVAC diagnostics and repairs
- Perform electrical systems diagnostics and repairs
- Perform air brake diagnostics and repairs
- Perform wheel end repairs and adjustments
- Perform suspension and steering diagnostics and repairs
- Perform PM maintenance accurately and efficiently
- Responsible to adhere to all warranty policies and procedures
- Ability to use electronic technical manuals and resources for diag and repair
- Provide accurate documentation on repair orders
The ideal candidate needs to be self-motivated and perform all tasks to the best of their ability. Candidate must be motivated to take advantage of all classroom and online OEM training made available.
